What started in a garage in 1985 has grown into one of Central Pennsylvania's most trusted names in excavating and demolition. The fleet has multiplied. The acres have stacked up. The crew has grown to over sixty. But the standard hasn't moved an inch.
Founded by Glenn Ray, a Tyrone native with dirt in his boots and hard work in his DNA, G&R began with five employees, two trucks, and a backhoe and front-end loader. From day one, Glenn believed in doing the job right, taking pride in his work, and never being afraid to get his hands dirty — a mindset that still defines G&R today.
"Doing the job right. Taking pride in the work. Never being afraid to get our hands dirty." — The G&R Standard
The operation is still run the way Glenn ran it on day one: hands-on, family-owned, and honest about what it takes to do the job. Recycling and sustainability have always been a priority — long before it was trendy. We don't tear things down to make a mess. We tear them down to put the materials back to work.
Every project — from a residential teardown in Tyrone to a commercial demolition in Philadelphia — gets the same answer: hard work, integrity, and getting it done right. Every single time.
